I’m not done with you yet.

His words rip through my thoughts. They spin with what new, twisted things he might have in store for me.

That can’t be concern for me in his voice. The water is just this side of scalding, the way I prefer it. I shake my head and step in.

The shower has one of those bath bars Gigi has in her shower, but instead of being on the side wall, it’s on the back, a foot above my head level.
